Love Casey Day is a specific date to go into the community and serve our neighbors. It may be pumping gas on a cold day at the gas station, feeding the washer and dryer machines at the Laundry Mat, or a similar activity.
This day is an opportunity to serve as Jesus would, in simple tangible ways. It also allows for communication about why we as a church have a Love Casey Day: We love because Jesus loved us first.
Jesus tells us the first and greatest commandment is to love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, and the second is like it, love your neighbor as yourself (Mark 12:30-31). This is how we as Christ followers should be living daily, but this day is set aside to flood the community with love and service as a church body.
