STUDENT MINISTRY

*All student ministry volunteers over the age of 18 have completed a background check.

NURSERY

Coordinator: Janine Simonton

Nursery service is available for ages birth through 3 years during Sunday School and Sunday Morning Worship. We have wonderful nursery volunteers who will care for and love your child just as Jesus calls us to do. All of our workers have undergone background checks and are aware of current security measures to keep your child safe. Our nursery is also equipped with age appropriate toys and books for your child to play with.

Parents are required to fill out a child information form for each child so we can get to know your child better and give him or her the best care to meet each individual need. There will also be a sign-in and sign-out sheet to sign each time your child visits (only a parent or those approved by a parent/guardian at sign-in may pick up your child).

Feel free to contact the church with any questions, (217)932-5736.

CHILDREN'S CHURCH

Teachers: Caitlyn & Victoria Cox; Vicki Dougherty & Donna Johns

                       (PreK-Kindergarten)

Eric & Jessica Shull (1st-3rd grades)

Students ages 3 (must be potty-trained) through 4th grade have the option to attend Children's Church during Sunday morning worship service. Those that choose to attend will be dismissed following the singing portion of the worship service.

Teaching biblical truths to the younger generation is at the heart of this ministry, and our focus is to teach Bible lessons in a way that our younger students can better understand and experience God's perfect Word.

GA's (Girls in Action)

Coordinator: Judy Kelsheimer

GA's (Girls in Action) is a mission organization for girls in 1st through 6th grades. They meet on the second Thursday each month throughout the school year, right after school until 4:45 pm at the church. The church bus is available for transportation from Monroe Elementary to the church.

At each meeting the girls will experience:

          -- A missional lesson/activity

          -- A Bible lesson

          -- Baking and crafts

Our emphasis is on doing things for others by serving and sharing the love of Christ. Through this, the girls will have a better understanding of the Great Commission and the importance of sharing the gospel around the world. It also brings to attention ways we can use some of those same ideas as we share the gospel with those around us each day.
